Azura Stevens scored 21 points against Cincinnati the other night, the same amount of points as the entire Cincinnati team. I've been looking through old statistics and can't find much on this, however it appears the last time this feat was even nearly accomplished was UConn's 117-20 win over Quinnipiac on December 28, 1998 where Shea Ralph had 18 points. Anyone recall this kind of feat happening before in UConn history? In NCAA history?
It obviously requires a few key ingredients - a player who can score, an opponent who is completely over-matched, and an excellent defensive effort by one team.
