After 7 games, here is the statistical comparisons between last year and this years team.

16/17: Record: 7 - 0 (4-0 vs ranked teams 2, 12, 14, & 15)
17/18: Record: 7 - 0 (5-0 vs ranked teams 3, 5, 10, 15, & 20)

16/17: Scoring: Points Scored: 567 (81.0 Avg.) Points Allowed: 398 (56.9 Avg.)
17/18: Scoring: Points Scored: 599 (85.6 Avg.) Points Allowed: 422 (60.3 Avg.)

16/17: Starters Scoring: 470 (67.1 Avg. 83%) Bench Scoring: 97 (13.9 Avg. 17%)
17/18: Starters Scoring: 497 (71.0 Avg. 83%) Bench Scoring 102 (14.6 Avg. 17%)

16/17: 3 Point Baskets: 59 (8.4 Avg.)
17/18: 3 Point Baskets: 58 (8.3 Avg.)

Samuelson: 134 (19.1 Avg.) 51 (17.0 Avg.) 3 Point Baskets: Samuelson 22 4
Collier: 133 (19.0 Avg.) 101 (14.4 Avg.) Collier: 5 6
Nurse: 97 (13.9 Avg.) 110 (15.7 Avg.) Nurse: 17 20
Williams: 72 (10.3 Avg.) 73 (10.4 Avg.) Williams: 1 0
Dangerfield: 45 ( 7.5 Avg.) 96 (13.7 Avg.) Dangerfield: 8 17
Bent: 14 ( 2.0 Avg.) 4 ( 0.8 Avg.) Bent: 3 0
Irwin: 7 ( 1.0 Avg.) 7 ( 1.4 Avg.) Irwin: 0 1
Stevens: 102 (14.6 Avg.) Stevens: 3
Walker: 39 ( 5.6 Avg.) Walker: 3
Espinosa-Hunter 14 (3.5 Avg.) Espinosa-Hunter 4

Scoring more points, even without Lou in the lineup, but also giving up a few more points. Starters and Bench are contributing the same percentage of points as they had at this point ast year. With Lou back and Z going back to being our sixth player and add Megan and bench getting some extended playing time, our bench point average should increase. Also with Lou's return I expect our three point baskets per game to increase.

Really enjoy the stats....hope you keep them coming. I don't have the first 7 game info from last year but we are averaging 3.5 more turnovers per game than last year and our assist/turnover ration is a pedestrian 1.4 vs 1.9 last year. Part of this is due to the subs not performing as well and i think that leads to some of the eye test angst we see on the board. By the way, CD's A/T is over 3 and that is exceptional , particularly for a soph. It puts her, along with her scoring, in the top point guard discussion.

Yep. This is really helpful and somehow reassuring.

Obviously, we are giving up 3.4 more ppg this year because our defensive specialist, Katie Lou Samuelson, has been out 4.5 games. ;)
