Walsh over Levenberry at LB is notable. Good for the CT kid ;)

How did i never notice Summers as a LS??? That's either a typo, or certifiably insane.

Hopkins at LG and Levy at RG is a bit of a surprise. My memory is failing or I remember talk of shifting Levy inside on the left side.

Neither - It's a depth issue till frosh arrive.

>>Cornerback Jamar Summers, tight ends Tommy Myers and Alec Bloom, and linebacker Luke Carrezola all have been trying their hand at long snapper since the Huskies are losing Dominick Manco. Summers brings a little more because with his speed he's the first one down the field and there's no questioning his tackling skills. He has potential, but the Huskies used a scholarship on Nick Zecchino, who is a long snapper. He'll be here in the summer.<<

Given new depth issues in the secondary, it's insane.

I wouldn't be surprised if that depth chart stays the same all year long... what we'll see on the field will be different.. Seems to be the Diaco trend with that stuff... Unless a player on the depth chart is out for the season with an injury or something. The LS position will definitely be one of the only changes...

Having an athletic longsnapper that can make tackles is a huge added bonus to any special teams unit. They get to run unimpeded off the line so having someone with Summers' athletic ability at the position would be great.

Having said that- I don't see any way shape or form that Summers is your starting long snapper in 2016

Exactly - he might as well put Anderson as the LS - it has as much of a chance of happening.

Although Walsh is still listed at 6'1 240, to me he looks like he's cut alot of fat and put on more muscle.....which in turn could help with a lot of the lateral quickness issues he had last year

I thought the same thing. Pure speculation, Levy is the better run blocker and putting him next to Thor gives us a more powerful right side.

If Bryant can take a mild step forward, and the OL can take a mild step forward, and the defense doesn't take any significant steps back, this team can easily win 8 games.

If!

Levy and Knappe on the right side makes for a huge tandem and we can put really big TEs there as well. This program use to make a lot of hay running behind big guys like that. It wore defenses down late in games and kept opposing offenses on the sidelines where it is really hard to score. Not sexy, but effective!

Not too surprising...this was the way they lined up in the spring game. The front 7 especially the LB 1/2's don't make a lot of difference...Diaco/Dex play those guys like interchangeable parts.

There is not allowed to be a man over the LS anymore. His only responsibility is to get the ball to the holder right over the spot, about chest high. If he had the skill, the punter could be the LS on place kicks and it really wouldn't matter.
