Welcome Moses!

Very quick, elusive and shifty. Reminds me a bit of Larry Taylor. Maybe Diaco is addressing our return game?

Great.......the recruiting ball is starting to roll! But 5'-5", 150 #'s? How many hits can he take from players up to at least 100# heavier?

@desmondconner: Something doesn't seem right with Moses Mayes' announced commitment to #UConnFootball folks.

@desmondconner: Spoke with Moses Mayes who announced he committed last night, sounded shaky but also #UConnfootball doesn't recruit #Georgia

@desmondconner: Haven't seen a lot on Moses Mayes but he's 5-6 WR which wouldn't fit the mold at the spot at #UConnFootball now and that position is loaded

UConn does recruit Georgia. It has Georgia players on the current roster from Georgia and has graduated Georgia players.

If the kid's primary role is as a kick returner, being small can be an advantage. At wr, he'd have to be extra special.

My wild ass guess is the kid didn't have an offer (yet) and he jumped the gun. Maybe the staff was thinking of him as a preferred walk on?

I don't get the UConn doesn't recruit Georgia comment? Obviously we have with RE and PP...is he saying that Diaco doesn't?

That's how I took it. I trust the staff until they give me a reason not to but I think it's a shame if we stopped recruiting GA. We've done ok there.

Who knows how this will turn out but seems kind of irresponsible for Des to be openly speculating about a commit.

Kind of like the Boneyard's no transfer talk, except he's a professional journalist.

I agree...GA has plenty of talent that isn't recruited by the SEC schools. We have had pretty good success there. But...until we start seeing Vitamin D's classes, we will just have to trust he knows best....or...he is playing to his coaching staff's strengths...which I guess doesn't include recruiting GA.

I remember Larry Taylor as a freshman and the electricity he brought to the the return game. Hope MM has that same talent and ability. A bonus would be if they created situational packages to get him on the field for 3-5 touches a game. He could be the sparkplug/playmaker that this program can never seem to get enough of. Welcome aboard.
