Perhaps one of the most amazing statistics illustrating UConn's unnatural consistency and dominance. This is why there are other very good teams and programs, but nothing that approaches UConn's unprecedented, almost incomprehensible excellence.

Elite Eight vs No. 2 Purdue 73-64
Final Four vs No. 4 Texas 71-69
Championship Game vs No. 5 Tennessee 73-68

But that also happens to be the only time in our program history where we played three top 5 ranked teams back-to-back-to-back in a season.

I double check my database as the rankings didn't look right. Purdue were in actually the No. 2 seed in bracket but were actually ranked No. 10 and No. 11 (AP / USA Today). The scores were correct though.

So original post should have read:
Elite Eight vs (No. 10 / 11) Purdue 73-64
Final Four vs (No. 5 / 7) Texas 71-69
Championship Game vs (No. 4 / 4) Tennessee 73-68

The 2001-02 only lost 1 game by 10 points or less during their undefeated 39-0 season.

However both the 2002-03 and 2003-04 championship teams had back to back games where they won by 10 points or less.
