I'm going to give Verducci the benefit of the doubt and that he kept things Coach P/De Leone vanilla on purpose given the upcoming schedule. That said, he has used up his allowance of first down dives between the guards for the next 10 years.

It's clear the new AD cares about the game day experience. Not at all clear that BD and Verducci do. UConn offense last night was fingernails on a chalkboard.

I still don't know where I stand with this. I was there and it was brutal. I thought to myself at what point why did I pay to come here to watch this crap. Unimaginative, lack of creativity, lack of deception, whatever you want to call it, it was abysmal. I get both sides to the strategy, why open the playbook and show the future schedule everything if we should be able to win each matchup and just pound them physically. But when that wasn't working there has to be an adjustment. The Oline problems concern me a little more which is also his fault. Not a good game at all for him. Whenever you see multiple people in the stands Yawning you know you are not doing something right. And it sucks because the numbers looked pretty good for an FCS opponent, in Maine. Very disappointing. But it is only one game. Many teams in D1 struggled against FCS teams already this year and I will have a short memory with this one hopefully it is exactly what we need and leadership on the team steps up.
