Anyone know why Stephanie Dolson is not in the top 25 in WBB field goal %? Stewart and Mosqueda Lewis are.

Does she have the required minimum shots per game?

The NCAA individual statistics page says that a player must have a minimum of 5 made per game and must play in 75% of their team's games. Through 11/25/2012 Stewie is listed at 12th and KML is tied for 40th in Div 1. (http://www.ncaa.com/stats/basketball-women/d1/current/individual/107)

Stef has failed to make 5 baskets in three of the games through 11/25 (CoC, WF and Marist). Oddly, Stewie only made 4 (on 4-8 shooting) in the TAM game so perhaps it is an average of 5 made per game.

Incidentally, KML was out for the 11/28 Colgate game (which still fits with the 75% of games requirement) and both Stewie (6-10) and Stef (9-13!) hit > 5.

The omission of Dolson is due to her having 1 too few FG made at the time of these stats.

Maryland has 2 in the top 4 as of these stats. I am guessing that will be different after the game on Monday.

Thanks Ice. I thought that it must be average per game. Stef only needs to make two in the next game to satisfy that requirement and she would enter the list at about position 20! She has really shown a nice repertoire of moves down low with either hand, a sweet baby hook and even a few impressive moves off the dribble. (Her insanity is paying off big time!)

The biggest surprise, however, is Kelly. After her killer Colgate game she was only two made baskets away from joining the list at number 1 in all of Div 1! Wow!

Kelly will likely come back to earth soon and I know that the team does not chase stats. However, their collective performance is deeply impressive. As a team they lead the second best field goal percentage team (Stanford) by a comfortable margin.

I think you misread this. Kelly is nine made baskets away from making the list, which means she needs 14 made baskets against MD to make the list. Not close to happening.

Oops! You are right. I was looking at FGA of 28 for Kelly. (She only has hit a measly 21 of those!).

It is still early here on the west coast. I'll go get myself a cup of tea now...

I don't know about going for 30, but I wouldn't might seeing her take a few more shots.

Stef debuts at number 9 this week at 63.5%. Stewie (4) and KML (35) have moved up.
