Not much to report. Katie Lou was off. The U.S.A. team was on. Ionescu max effort when she's on the floor. Mulkey needs to add weight, get stronger and work on her foot work. At 6' 9" there's a lot of size to work with, but she will need a lot of work. Durr had the hot hand in the first half. Hope for more competitive games as they move through the tournament.

Based on what I saw Mulkey should not be on this team. She may develop over time but she is not nearly on the level of the other players on the US team.

I am not sure who Holmes has on her list of schools but I hope Baylor is one. At 6-3 she has a nice physique and moves really well. Her hometown, Cedar Hill, is about an hour from Waco.

Totally agree about Mulkey. Really surprised she made the team.

Mulkey reminds me of the 6'9 player who played for Michigan St. Few years ago (can't remember her name). Mulkey clearly got a lot of work to do but as they say, you can't teach hight. She'll block a lot of shots in college.....

I think Mulkey is on the team for the future. If she is going to get better,
she has to play against the best. I don't see too many 6'9" kids hanging
around USA basketball these days. It wouldn't be smart to let her go
by the wayside and not develop her. They have to at least give her some
time to develop and mature and see what happens with her in the next
couple of yrs. Lets not forget these girls are 17 and under. The future
looks pretty bright for USA basketball.

Did you guys watch her? Mulkey is not USA Basketball caliber and I doubt that she ever will be.

Mulkey's very raw but I've seen some skill in AAU games. Think she has a chance to be a good player down the road, but I'm not sure why she made the team over Tori McCoy.
