Just a place to post interesting observations of the Qualifying games (not just US)

Game 1 China vs Spain

Rooting on my Liberty's Han Xu. 6 points but I wish she had a more clean offensive game. Nice mid range jumper though

China in a major upset so far over spain at the half. 34-21. Xargay left early. Not sure why.

Spain came back from 13 pts down in the 4th Q to take a late lead 62-61 but China gets a very hard fought 64-62 win with Yao Ming watching. Spain had at least 4 point blank shots at the buzzer to tie but missed them.Brutal loss. I love international games. So meaningful and hard fought

Next game is GB vs Korea.
If GB wins, they will go with China and Spain.
If Korea wins GB would have to beat Spain on Sunday and win on a point system
Korea's loss to Spain, by 35 points hurts them

Go GB, so KLS sister @KSam44 can make Olympics

For most of the 1st half, Korea was shooting lights out from 3 and GB seemed scarred to shoot leading to a double digit deficit. Karlie had missed her first 3 three point shots. However, Karlie finally started to get hot fro 3 pt land and made her last 3 and pretty much was responsible for keeping the game within reach. 43-35 Korea at half. :) Anigwe also playing for GB behind Fegbenle who was GB's best post player but got 2 fouls in first half and had to sit out. Tough matchup for Aniqwe with some of the Korea bigs.

Well, GB fought back from a 14 pt deficit to get within 79-78, Korea coughs up the ball giving GB a chance but GB runs a poor offensive set, TO, Korea sinks 2 foul shots for 82-79 lead. GB needing a 3 to tie. Was hoping Karlie would get the hero shot but no, some one else took it and missed and that is all she wrote. Karlie did all she could. Can hold her head up high.
