I played on a TILE (yeah, the same type of tile in your kitchen) floor once at a university in Louisiana in the early '70s. It didn't give or absorb sweat droplets either. When we arrived at the gym for our shooound, we were in awe that we were actually expected to play on that surface.

A floor like this will be the half-time entertainment complete with a plethora of advertisements.
