For those of you who are Bill Russell fans and appreciate Feherty's style of interviewing.. Checking out DF's interview of Russ on the Golf Channel is a must.. DF is admittedly not a BB guy..But he is able to draw Russell out of his shell and allows him to show his wisdom/charm/sense of humor in this two-part interview..We all know Bill is a tremendously private individual who prefers to stay out of the spotlight.. He clearly is enjoying DF's sense of humor and vice versa during this interview.. Russell has always been an enigma because of his reluctance to embrace the public spotlight.. Feherty is able to get him to let his "guard" down.. Very complex but fascinating individual..

Watched it last night. It was very good. I do have a tough time believing Russell didn't know he won 8 in a row until about 15 years ago.

It was a great show.

If you like Feherty's sense of humor his interviews are quite entertaining IMO....I really liked his interviews with JT and Couples
Feherty has the unique ability to get his interview subjects to be themselves..The Couples interview was a classic.. I think he's one of the most talented interviewers on TV..Not just within the sports world..Occasionally he will interview non-athletes.. The fact that he was a Tour pro prior to substance abuse problems ruining his career helps him(be legit) in his interviews.. Kind of like.."Been there..Done that".. Re: being a successful athlete at a high level..

Feherty hits that sweet spot of just above journeyman but not a great. Good enough to make Ryder Cup or two but definitely someone who knew the locker room and the grind of being a tour pro.

The Couples interview was great. At one point Freddie relates a story of him getting ticked off at his caddy on the driving range before a round. He looked over at a Nick Price and his caddy and asked if they wanted to swap caddies for the round. Everyone agreed and off they went. Towards the end of the round Freddy's caddy for the day commented how the eye candy in the crowd was way better carrying for Freddy than with the other guy. Great story.

Here is their version of the events from a previous interview
