During this lull in news, I'm wondering what is your favorite UCONN moment.

Mine was in the 1999 finals, when Ricky Moore took it to the rack on the first possession of the game and then screamed at William Avery, 'You can't stop me. You never could stop me'. They were from the same high school

Sitting in the brand new Gampel Pavilion on Opening Day (or was it Night?). I think we played St. John's? Don't remember many details, just the feeling that it was a super cool place and so dazzling & bright. Back then our seats were so close I could smell the players' sweat. Ah, the good ol' days.

I have to say it's tough to pick against the Titles, but the 2014 National Semifinals my cousin had about 25 people over who were all big time Husky fans. We got down something like 12-2, but then stormed back and ended up blowing them out. A former roommate of mine said he never thought a house could get as loud as Gampel haha.

I was at UConn vs. Florida at Gampel in December of 2013 as a student. Saw Shabazz's shot go in and the place erupt. I've had a lot of favorite moments, like Kemba's run in 2011, but the Bazz shot takes the cake.

There are so many great ones but my favorite is Taliek's 2OT Big East Tourney Championship Half Court Jumper!!

Was during my freshman year and we scrapped all the money we had to get to NYC and buy tickets to game. Got to MSG when the windows opened and managed to get decent tickets somehow. Watching that win and walking out of MSG that night with UConn nation is something I will always remember.

Shout out to Tykurez

Kemba game winner against Nova in 2011 at Gampel, great moment.... crowd went crazy. Plus it was an ESPN game day game so the atmosphere was electric

There are many. If pressed for one, it is the end of the '99 Championship Game. Watching the celebration after the buzzer sounded...seeing the band cheering so wildly that they were having trouble playing the fight song, and hearing Jim Nance's, "When people say you can't, you can, and UCONN wins the National Championship in their first trip to a final!!"

I was unaware of this moment. I love it!

Some of the best UConn moments have already been posted, but Giffey's breakaway dunk at MSG against MSU was exhilarating beyond words. The crowd went absolutely insane and we planted our flag back on the MSG court. About as happy as I've felt aside from actually winning championships.

1999, not even close... First moment is Ricky causing the travel and the Ricky intense face in all its glory. Someone has it as their avatar here. Second moment is after Langdon tripped and Rash picks up the ball, tears in his eyes, and says "oh my god!" The fact that we won was amazing, obviously, but there are something so special (to me at least) that it was Rash who came up with the ball. Loved Rash and his selflessness over four years. Went from budding scoring star (he was averaging high teens for a bit his soph year) to defensive specialist b/c that's what the team needed.

Will never forget those couple of seconds after the final buzzer. Somehow, my neighbor, a very prominent football player, managed to get butt-naked in those milliseconds and started running through the halls. Then the windows broke. Then the fire started. Smelled just like victory.

I'd be lying if I said the 2014 NC wasn't my favorite. I was overjoyed. The win over Michigan St had me in tears practically.

But my favorite live moment was the 2004 BET. Sitting in a crowd of Pitt fans in the 200 level, down by double digits in the second half, Pitt fans were the most obnoxious ever.

The turnaround had them throwing up all over the aisles.

Older: Okafor ripping the ball away underneath the hoop late in the game to lay it in against Duke in the semis and take the lead.
Little 14 year old me lost it.

Newer: Can't beat Kemba's ankle breaker. Puts a big grin on my face every time I watch it.

1999 NC for me. After listening to Laettner in the pregame saying he hoped that UCONN would make a game of it, when it was over, I was overwhelmed with a sense of "F*#* YOU DOOK" and that's what came out of my mouth.

My favorite "under the radar" moment was storming the court at MSG and picking up Murray Williams after the 1988 NIT.

UConn's win over Nova in 2006 at Gampel. Place was absolutely electric, especially since we had recently lost to them at their place. One of the best parts was all of the signs in the student section that were confiscated prior to the start of the game... they were hilarious.

Rashad Anderson's 3 vs. Washington is always bittersweet for me, mainly because of the outcome of that season. Regardless, such an epic shot and Raff's color commentary was legendary.

This one is easy, Ricky Moore D'ing up Trajan Langdon and causing the travel. In the words of Billy Packer, "Trajan Langdon with the ball and he's going up against a great defender, what's he doing here?" And the rest is history. Game...blouses.

In keeping with the wisdom of Winnie the Pooh's belief that the moment just before you eat the honey is the only thing better than the honey itself, I'm going with Souley's strip of and hook shot over Brand. That's when I believed we were going to win.

Edmund stripped it, Souley scored on the hook.
