Always loved this intro to the Bo Diddley song. I believe that's big Al Anderson, of Wildweeds fame, a local Hartford area group. This song must be played LOUD to be fully appreciated.

Check Quicksilver Messenger for their take on “Who do you Love”.

A Great band is Dread Zeppelin. They would redo Led Zeppelin songs in reggae style, and their lead singer was an Elvis style singer,

A really good song by them is this one:

Ellie Greenwich, along with her husband Jeff Barry, were one of the amzinf who worked in the Brill building, and crank out hit songs of the sixties. Much like Carole King, could put out a solo album of her hits. I love this version of a song originally written for Darlene Love, but without the Phil Spector "Wall of Sound." I love this mellow version.

Here's another example of a song she wrote for the Ronettes

Speaking of Isaac Hayes, here's an amazing arrangement from the late sixties. This was only played on FM radio, for obvious reasons.

The arrangement may not be too different, but the instrumentation is. The original recording was by Roxy Music.

I found this to be quite interesting. Not sure if I would consider it "Favored" though.
