Aluminny mentioned Bonnie Raitt and Big Al in subsequent posts, made me think of this one I always liked. Like how she doesn't change the words.

Slightly different arrangement, different language. Maybe what the Eagles were after. I mean it was originally called "Mexican Reggae".

Hotel California - Gipsy Kings

Although some may consider sacrilege. I prefer Cake's arrangement of "War Pigs" (Black Sabbath if you live under a rock.)

I don't know if preferred, but I do like it.

Man of Constant Sorrow

Originally ..... Dick Burnett? Dylan did a popular version. And of course The Soggy Bottom Boys

Here it's Charm City Devils

If you are going to pick alternate Springsteen, you need to include the best one (and biggest hit):
Sorry, I duped this song. I didn't see it. I tried to delete my post but selecting DELETE won't work.

One thing I loved about Gentle Giant is that they never tried to recreate studio versions of their songs when playing live. They often completely rearranged the music, as in this one. I saw them, I think at Woolsey in around 1977, and they played this.
