I’ll have to pat myself on the back here. I started tracking UConn’s assists last season when they set the all time NCAA single season assist record, breaking the record of - you guessed it - UConn.

After the ECU game, when they had 31 assists, I posted that they were ahead of the pace of last year’s team. Of course it’s not just the average number of assists per game, but also the number of games.

UConn set the original record of 850 assists in 40 games. Last season they set a new record of 863 in only 37 games. Let’s all hope they maintain the current pace and get to and win 38 games.
