Not me.I think they got a happy confluence. Best available left AND works geographically.
Anyone want to bet me whether Clarendon will be around longer than Faris?
On the first point, Sugar was an impact player from Day 1. She edged out Skylar for BE FOY. But after McNutt left, the team's success dropped off, as did Sugar's shooting percentage. She's a volume shooter who will shoot you into and out of games. But sub-40% is not very good; Kelly, in contrast, shot over 50% this year. With all due respect to Sugar, I don't think she's ever done anything meaningful in any game of any importance...basically ever. And that's saying something given that it seemed like she was in college for 10 years.
There's part of me that thinks the Sun didnt fill their biggest needs, but they got a kid who did nothing but make her team better and will do the same in the pros.
Kelly overlapped with Tina for 1 year, but not with Renee. Kelly and Renee will make each other better.Well I know that Renee Montgomery was hoping that they did pick Kelly. She said that people always say that the Sun load up with UConn players but on her twitter she said that Kelly would be a perfect fit. I agree though that Kalana will have to step it up this year.
Did you watch her this year? She shot threes better than KML did last year.If Faris can make jump shots at the next level she can help.
I've been tweeting the Fever personnel tonight, I told them it was a huge mistake but they are lucky that we will buy tickets for at least 3 games - when the Sun comes to town.I think they got a happy confluence. Best available left AND works geographically.

Among other things, I don't think the Sun wanted to see Kelly wearing a Lynx uniform...
