It seems like yesterday that this senior group were freshman. Elevated beyond their years by that maestro KW, they took us on that wonderful ride to an improbable NC.
SN,NG,and TO will suit up for their last home game. This group starting on such a high endured lows not experienced by a Huskie team since the mid-eighties.
They endured dysfunction,coaching illness, coaching change, suspension, wholesale defection, and loss of conference. They remained loyal ,along with, RB, DD,and OC when the epitaph was being chiseled on the UConn gravestone.
They along with the 1988 NIT team,and the wonderful NC teams this class is one of the most significant teams in our
glorious history.
I want to thank you all for the joy you given this old Huskie fan.
In closing I will quote Winston Churchill's salute to the RAF.
"Never have so many (Huskie Fans) owed so much to so few."
