These two wonderful basketball players will be missed. They both played their hearts out yesterday, and both of them went out with a bang. Lou scored 25 points in 30 minutes, was 9-13 overall, and 4-7 from the 3 point line, and she went 3 for 3 from the foul line. AND, she did all that on a painful knee. Wow! Dorka gave us 13 points and 10 rebounds in 36 minutes, her last of MANY double-doubles as a UConn post. It was heart warming at the end of the game when Lou dribbled out the ball in the last 10 seconds of the game, then bent over in pain and sadness. It was Caroline Ducharme who came over to console Lou and help her off the court. This team stayed together for each other until the very end. Cheers Dorka and Lou! Here's to hoping you both are smacking it down in the WNBA this summer!
