Since this place opened I have NEVER seen such a worse attended game than I am seeing tonight! I'm guessing about 10,000-12,000

That's a bit low. Might be closer to 20k, but point is valid... The Rent is Empty.

Many probaly wanted to hear the end of the fantastic bball game. Looks ok noew.

The radio guys are commenting on what a good crowd it is.

30k about right. Feels good to cheer again.

I stayed home. Wasn't feeling well. In years past I've sat through games with the flu.

I had the flu this whole week. I could barely get off my couch. I salute you sir.

Just have a cold, but have my sons birthday party tomorrow. I would never miss a Friday night game with a cold in the past, but I just didn't want to feel like tomorrow.

I am part of the problem too. Sat this one out for the basketball game. Nice to see football turn it around but I still think I made the right decision.

2nd quarter had way more than 30k in the stands. Our Student section is horrible though. Opposite endzone is much better.

Star Spangled Banner: 5,000
Middle of 1st Q: 20,000
Middle of 2nd Q: 32,000
End of 3rd Q: 22,000
Middle of 4th Q: 15,000

Yeah filled up slow and emptied out early. But the max showing was pretty good for 3-6 versus 4-5.

Opposite end zone is usually pretty good. Tonight...not so much. Looked like there was room for the band...at times.

Student section with 10 min left

beer tastes good.

crowd was fine for this time. stop your whining.

The soccer team was playing ND in the semi finals as well was on TV. Lost 1 - 0 Had a great season!

Was at the game and it was a typical UConn crowd... slow filling and emptying at every TV timeout in the second half until there was 10,000 left for Phillips' catch along the sidelines. Student section was, once again, non-existent in the critical moments of the second half. The lifeblood of a college stadium turns into metal bleacher seats more often than not.

I can count on one hand the games I've missed since the Rent opened and the view at kickoff last night was heartbreaking. Including those visible in the concourse watching the basketball game the crowd looked like it may make it to 15k. I kept thinking of many games in the past where an excuse existed for a mediocre crowd existed yet we still had considerably more fans than what we were looking at last night. Thank God it did fill out to a decent (I'd guess a little shy of 30k) level.

Many programs (even those who give a way thousands of free seats to students) have had on and off sub 20k attended home games. That we could claim to be better than that was one of the few things we had left. A fan base is the life's blood of a football program. This is why we need a new coach, one who can re-energize the fan base and get the program back in the right direction (it feels as if the current coach has put the program in reverse and floored the gas pedal).

I'm recommending we buy a virtual reality projection screen so holograms of fans will fill the stadium for TV.
Once I was in Puerto Rico and in a hotel nightclub they were filming a music video. There were actually three or four rows of "fans" and the rest was empty. They cheered and waved during the artist's songs. Later during the video playback, it showed a packed room. I asked one of the techs, what that was all about. He said that's how they make them. It's mostly a virtual audience--also in sports movies when stands are shown. Why not us?--lol
