Also has kick time implications. A Houston W brings a night game to the Rent, in all likelihood. An L, and it's 3:30, probably.

In all likelihood, this is right. I'm also hoping for a night game that day. Fans and students can go to the hoops and football game and even tailgate before kickoff. Everyone wins...except Houston!
In all seriousness, I hope the game is at night. I work until 8 and if it's a 7 or 8 pm kick off, I'll talk to my store manager next week to be out by 5 or 6 or "get sick from lunch" so that I can make this game.

Many decades ago, I turned down a ticket to a Whalers vs Montreal game despite really wanting to go. Instead, I decided to work my crappy retail job that I held in high school. I must've made a whopping $25 that night. Meanwhile, in downtown Hartford, Darren Turcotte buried a loose puck past Patrick Roy in OT to seal up a 4-3 win in one of the best atmospheres at the old Civic Center in years. I remember listening to Chuck Kaiton's call on the radio while I was driving home, hating myself for missing this game - when he got extra excited, his voice would crack like Peter Brady. Needless to say, when Turcotte scored and the place went bonkers, Kaiton's call sounded like an adolescent Peter Brady on PCP. I almost drove off the highway because I was so excited that the Whale won and from listening to the Civic Center behind Kaiton sound like a playoff atmosphere.
Don't make the same mistake I made many decades ago. November 21st is going to be special, with or without Darren Turcotte and Chuck Kaiton.![]()

This also reminds me of this quote:
"Breakfast, shmreakfast. Look at the score, for . It's only the second period and I'm up 12 to 2. Breakfasts come and go, Rene, but Hartford, "the Whale," they only beat Vancouver once, maybe twice in a lifetime."
Love that movie!
