Here are a couple of now-relevant facts:
South Carolina is now another common opponent, and I regard UConn's and Stanford's victories against Dawn's crew as essentially equal in terms of effective margin. It is interesting that both Stanford and UConn defeated South Carolina because Boston and other Gamecock rebounders were unable to manage a putback in the final seconds.
- On New Year's Day, Stanford defeated Arizona in Tucson by 27 points (81-54).
- On February 22, Stanford, playing at home, defeated Arizona by 14 points (62-48).
