Expectations for the rest of the season

We sit at 4-3. Today was a disappointing day, but nowhere near the end of the season.

IMO, four of our five remaining games we should be favored in.

Even if choke in one of them, we would finish 7-5 for our first winning season in 14 years.

Would love to win out, but think it is unlikely, but I will definitely take 8-4.

Despite the loss today, I don’t really feel discouraged about the season. I still think we end up on the positive side of .500.

I think 8-4 is a very realistic expectation. If we're saying 8-4, then presumably we're thinking the loss would come on the road at Syracuse.

I would love to punch the orange in the mouth in their own house! If we did that, I think people would look at this season as a resounding success...

They need to put this loss behind them and get ready for Rice and get back on the winning side heading into the last home game of the season

I would be happy if we qualify for a bowl game. My preferred opponent, if they also qualify, would be Cal. It would be an exciting East Coast vs.
West Coast game.

8-4 feels right. After yesterday that feels like a disappointment but I will take it.

We are solid, though imperfect, football team. We have shown that we can play with P4 teams. Now we have to show that we can beat them.

We have a competitive college football team, period. When’s the last time we said that? We had a few 6-6 seasons in last decade that got to bowls, but this is the best team we’ve had in a decade, IMO. Take care of business this week and we will be fine.
