Why do they keep referring to this game as historic? The record was 90 so shouldn't every game be considered historic?

UConn gets ratings.... you don't have to like it but since ESPN is footing the bill to air WCBB games... let them do what they got to do and appreciate the fact you can afford to see it (paying for cable, satellite, streaming, or tickets) some can't even do that. They gotta make their money some how right? Also, let's keep in mind this is on a Monday mostly during the day so it's not like there is really anything better on....

Despite popular tBY opinion, seems like ESPN thought UConn going for win #100 was important enough to cover.

This is actually approaching borderline overkill territory.

It seems a bit much, but let's face it, what else are they gonna show during a Monday daytime on ESPNU or ESPN Classic? They might as well use it to promote something they're trying to promote.

If they were playing a lowly opponent, the hype would be lower. People know SC has a chance.

Good point. That it's both a Big Monday game and the game for #100 is a fortuitous confluence of factors.

Okay., it's probably excessive. But I was wondering whether anyone would make a big deal out of #100 (my wife and I could not believe there still were tickets available, no matter how inconvenient the time of night) ad I guess ESPN will if no one else does.

I bought tickets to the game with no problem a two nights ago. I was pretty surprised. I guess the husky fans are feeling good about this one..

This is a nice SECN (ESPN) 2-minute video promo for the game.

Very complimentary of UConn, but emphasis is on how SC can win. But a bit of bad mojo and disrespect for SMU, as it twice assumes (past tense) that UConn is already 99-0.

If we had 4 fingers on each hand, we would compute in octal instead of decimal. Then the 64th game would have been the big one ! :p (for Duke grads: 64 decimal = 100 octal)

I know it doesn't make sense but it's the number 100, kind of like when McDonald's served their billionth customer.
The McD in Hamden had a sign--1,000,000 served (nation wide). After that everything was profit and after 10,000,000 it became mundane!! So--do you think that after 100 each win will be HISTORIC or mundane???

After 100, It will probably be mundane until the Huskies get to 1000 wins in a row. :)
