Since it appears we may now be human, it probably makes more sense than ever to look at our competition

1PM Temple at USF (Very Interested to see)
3PM SC at Missouri
5PM ND at Syracuse

There are alot more games televised but I will leave it to others to comment on the ones that interest them.

#22 for UNC Kea is a unique player, she jumps center, and then runs point with Cherry.

Temple at USF is interesting for a couple of reasons. Temple on the rise, USF erratic. Either could beat the Huskies of last night. Hopefully what was going on is out of our Huskies' systems or Geno et al can wring it out in short order. I would love to have known Kia's thoughts as she observed last night.

Rare technical foul called on UNC.

Don't forget about NCState's Play 4 Kay game at 2 pm on ESPNU against Wake Forest. NCState was the one that started the whole Play 4 Kay thing -- of course, we had the late, great Kay Yow on the sidelines for 34 years.

Why would UNC grant Hatchell a 2-year contract extension when it is just a matter of time before the NCAA brings the hammer down due to the 20+ year cheating scandal involving many of the women's basketball players that went through that program in the past?

It's odd hearing Sue Bird provide commentary; she doesn't sound anything like I was expecting her to. I only know her from being a great player at UCONN.

Should have been a double technical IMO. Hines-Allen is extremely demonstrative in her actions under the basket and is usually involved in these scrambles at least weekly. When I watched Louisville play in Gulf Coast Showcase that's the thing I remember.

Foul called on UNC player...then there was some mouthing and aggression shown by her and by Hines-Allen. The UNC player got called for the technical.

Temple really taking it to USF right now at halftime, up 39-26. Really impressed with how hard they're playing on the road.

Temple leads USF at the half, 39-26. Temple is scrappy and athletic. Laksa and Jespersen have someone in their grill at all times. Flores is really struggling with her ankle injury. It feels like USF is just barely hanging on by a thread toward the end of the season. I will say I'm impressed by Henshaw's improvement this season. In the running for AAC freshman of the year.

This is some good news for Tulane: Another bubble team, Iowa, just had an epic meltdown against Purdue. After leading by 10 at the half, the Hawkeyes were outscored 47-17 in the second half.

Marquette scored 38 first quarter points against DePaul. Their pace is way down in the 2nd quarter but they're still shooting 65% from the field, up 52-36 approaching halftime.

Any idea what the record is for points in a quarter since they switched from 20 minute halves?

Whoa. USF playing much better in the 2nd half, and Laksa has heated up. Bulls just took their first lead since 1st quarter. Timeout Temple. Should be an exciting finish.

Temple won that battle. Surprised no one mentioned Texas losing to Oklahoma last night
