Will they have coverage of the Maya Moore tour included?
Nope, but they will have footage of Maya, Sue, and D having lunch at a local McDonalds thus proving once and for all that Geno is a cheater.

Hasn't ESPN covered Pat (with and without her team) and the Lady Vols -- via documentaries and other formats -- over the years? Pat's had an awful lot presence on ESPN in the past decade.

But like any other medium, ESPN goes with what is hot and sells. Despite being just down the road, they don't live and die UConn men's basketball because there are other competitors (Duke, KS, KY, yada yada) who are equally as appealing. In the women's game, UConn is the hands down dominant player. They are the game's best draw.

People can complain about the media all they want. At the end of the day, their behavior is remarkably consistent; they go where they can get the most eyeballs. It's not really rocket science.

Lady Vol fans will say this proves that ESPN is in UConn's pocket.
If ESPN was in Knoxville it would be in the Vol back pocket--but since ESPN is in Bristol,Ct I guess one should assume ESPN is supporting the Dukies of NC.

You missed the point completely. If you don't support Tenn Vol's and only Tenn Vol's then you must be supporting only UConn --they are still trying to figure out how Maya got out the Airport in Ga while carrying DT's and Sue's suitcases--and the millions within them..

McDonald's??? Never, it is Wendy's or nothing!

Awful is the technical term, yes?

Wbbfan, they certainly may say that. But the only thing UConn has in their pocket, or in its trophy case , is NINE CHAMPIONSHIPS. Count'em , Nine. So who else would ESPN most likely want to interview? Someone with one or 2 , or none. Or someone who just won its 2nd in a row.

So let's recap for the perpetually jealous.

Is it a good thing for the game that ESPN is willing to give the women's side some dedicated airtime???

Of course it is.

Is there a better story than the little school in cow country coached by the quick witted Italian, with great hair inheriting a floundering doormat of program with the leaky roof and making it the envy of collegiate basketball programs on planet Earth???

Of course not.

Is there ANY university on the aforementioned planet, that has registered a more impressive resume of otherworldly accomplishments over a sustained period???

Of course there isn't.

So, in conclusion, if you are ESPN, who do you pick to do a 3-part documentary on, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Stanford???

Of course you don't.

Plus there will be so many great jokes and hysterical snarky comments. Documentarians love those.

I just thought of something. In a few years, Geno might have the Bill Russell ring problem.... too many Championship rings for his fingers. :);):D:eek::oops::rolleyes:;):):p:D:D

45 TO GO

It's being blacked out in Knoxville.

By that I mean that when they see it's on, lady vol fans will kick the picture until it's black.
Or their blood pressure will get so high, they'll black out. :D

You may or may not recall, Geno solved the too many rings problem a few years ago. :(
I do not recall. Did he stop issuing rings to the Champs?
