ESPN Ranks the Best NCAA Tournaments

The 1999 NCAA Tourney was often called by the media "The Duke Invitational" because their victory was a foregone conclusion.

UCONN did get called a Blue Blood:

The 2014 tournament gave us a title game pitting two of basketball's blue bloods against each other. That's not exactly novel. But the fact that UConn was a No. 7 seed and Kentucky was an 8 shows how wacky these three weeks were.

ESPN owns the ACC and SEC, Fox has the Big East. They promote their own properties.
I have been thinking about this recently. Rome did eventually fall

Where did they rank 1985? I just revisited the bracket.
8 Nova upset 2 UNC
11 BCU upset 3 puke

They didn't even mention the ridiculous UConn-Clemson buzzer beater when talking about 1990. They did, of course, list the Christian Laettners beating UConn as the best game of the tournament. How is this a competent article?

On the way from the airport, listening to ESPN on the radio, the yakkers were talking about how Duke was so good it's likely their second team would win. Not a joke............until the final was over!
