This is an old news but I just received an email from ESPN today, 2 days before the starting date.

Disney will increase the price of its ESPN+ subscription from $5.99 to $6.99 a month beginning in August, an ESPN+ spokesperson confirmed on Monday.

With the new price increases, a yearly subscription to ESPN+ will cost $69.99 a year, up from $59.99, next month. The price for the bundle of ESPN+ with Disney+ and Hulu will remain the same at $13.99 a month, as will UFC pay-per-view matches available on the streaming service.

Don't watch ESPN unless UConn Women's is playing against someone. Also if Purdue or UNLV is on.

Yes, I have ESPN+ only to watch UConn games when other Medias are not streaming. I may cancel now and change to monthly (from November to April only).

My 2020 ESPN+ was $49.99/ yearly. So the increase is from #49.99 to $69.99.

I can't remember if any of UConn's games were on ESPN+ last year. They sure would have been if UConn had stayed in the AAC, that's one of the reasons they left.

You are right since I have ESPN+ annual membership since 2018.

My wife bought an iPhone 12 through Verizon and now we get ESPN+, Hulu and Disney+ for free.

I am liking that I can read those articles I used to be blocked from.

I'm not an ESPN fan but even with the price increase it's the best deal in streaming, especially for soccer fans. It has more content I use than any other and that includes Netflix.

I don't have ESPN+ and likely won't in the foreseeable future. Are there ads in their broadcasts? If not, how would the costs of production be covered if there weren't subscription fees?

I remember way back, like in the 60's, when people would boycott things. It always worked as the company was forced to listen to their customers. Today, everyone just 'caves'

ESPN+ does have ads, and lots of ads ....from Disney and Hulu.

Just now, Tue, 8/10 - Chiney and Golic Jr. Presented by Progressive.

Netflix carries live sports, what content you speak of? I'm still on last years ESPN+ year plan but that's as far as it will go.
