It's become routine for ESPN. They are trying to pump up interest. There is no need to tout UConn, UConn fans are always pumped up. The shilling has to be in the P-5's.
I'll give credit to ESPN though for recognizing the PAC12, a conference that has it's own broadcast and streaming network, and start many of their games after most of the east coast is in bed.

It was only 1 game, but it looks like it's totally up in the air which Stanford Fr. will have the biggest impact for them. Prechtel looked good, so did Jump.

Belibi isn’t polished, but I also am not sure I would consider her raw. She has some really nice moves and a nice jumper.

Now we are in the annual problem (or so it seems) with only 8 or 9 players and only 2 or less effective subs i.e with talent, experience and game time. And yet---Geno stays with US.
I've posted often that Geno will stay as long as it's fun. Apparently his idea of fun is: Pulling a bunch of kids, most had not met each other until August, now he needs chemistry, knowledge of how each kid reacts to situations and for all to learn the quirks of the others. Oh, Geno how can we thank you??

With a core of Christyn, Liv, Megan, and Crystal, I would exactly define that as “less than rosy.” I think every coach in the country except Kelly, Kim, Tara, and maybe Brenda and Scott would take that core over theirs in a minute. Geno has plenty to work with.

Aubrey certainly falls under the “late bloomer” category. When you find a late bloomer that climbs to the top-25 in the rankings and is a McDonald’s All-American, it is a very good sign.

European prospects get such little acknowledgement nowadays, but obviously adding a player with the experience, size, and skill set of Makurat is very exciting.

Actually, Aubrey missed only 1 game her junior year. Her injury problems occurred during her senior year when she missed 10 of Ossining’s 30 game. She made it back in time for the N.Y. State championships were she led her team to the public school state championship breaking the all-time tournament scoring record held by a young lady named Breanna Stewart.

I stand corrected. I knew she played 3 years at Ossining, which it appears were her freshman, sophomore and 2/3 of her senior year.

I just watch the first half of the Stanford vs USA team and Stanford looks like a really talented team. Won't surprise me to see them win it all this year.
