The rankings aren't what's of interest here. It's the little intro. Voepel sends a mild zinger at UConn fans and maybe a hint that he follows the BY, as in this remark:

"Among the UConn fan base, the Huskies could win every game by 50 points and the interest would remain. But fans outside that bubble sometimes might lose track of the Huskies while they power past league foes. Now is a good time to tune back into UConn."

It's all in good fun, and I hope more newer fans take the hint and tune in tomorrow.

So why did Texas move past UConn? They beat a mediocre Mizzou team by 9 and a mediocre A&M team by 10, and this somehow leads Mike to bump them up two spots.
