In the annual Final Four Predictions for ESPN, Creme, Hays, and Smith all marching to the tune of a UConn-ND final, while Voepel thinks USCar is ready to pull an upset. Hays notes that ND "hasn't seen the best of Jewell Loyd through the first four rounds," (that's for sure), and Voepel says "Wish there was something more original to say here than UConn just has more weapons and does everything well, but that's about the size of it."

At the time I'm "liking" this, there's one other like. I would assume that there could be a time where this post sets a record for the most "likes" because what UConn fan or Boneyard fan wouldn't like the thought that some ESPN experts think unanimously that we WILL WIN a 10th national championship over the next four days!!!!

Some years back, whenever a Bone-yarder or commentator was thought too positive about the team there were responses that we were thus DOOMED by lady luck. As I was calmly chewing on pop corn during our first half against Dayton, I realized that this team had pretty much eroded this ancient superstition. WHAT A TEAM!

There are certain pundits for whom a selection of UConn would indeed lead to a "We are dooooooooooooooooooooooooooomed" (say if Carolyn Peck said she really liked UConn's chances this year -- big oh-oh), but with these four who know the game and never do go beyond the simple facts of what that they see in making a pick when they are put on the spot for the FF picks each year by ESPN, all you can say is that they know what will happen if everything runs to its normal course. Sure, none of them will ever pick a Louisville over Baylor in 2013 (And who would?), but none are also not going to try to be the one who tries to pick a 1 in 20 selection just to garner the fame of being the one who made the call on the miracle upset. All the reasons given for how they see the games are just insightful and reasonable.
