Not that this comes as a surprise but did anyone else catch College Gameday Live today? It was on before all of the Boston marathon stuff broke big time so I was watching it. They were at Louisville and heaping praise on them, etc.
It got to them talking about if they are National Champion contenders and they said that their schedule is going to hold them back. They have a really weak OOC schedule and supposedly were trying to work out deals with some big names and nothing materialized. Then they said that since they were stuck in this limbo conference until they got into the ACC, their schedule was even weaker.
Look, I know that the AAC is nothing amazing, but I was hoping we'd sign with another network so that the bashing would actually stop and I could stomach watching that new networks CFB coverage that wasn't just games. Instead we went with ESPN, which makes sense because of getting national coverage, but we're now stuck with how many more years we're in the AAC of hearing how we're worthless. I usually don't watch CFB Live but there was literally nothing else on at the time and I'm on vacation this week and watching my little one. It's just annoying and frustrating....
BTW, UConn's defeat of Louisville was mentioned ONCE, while Syracuse's beat down of Louisville was mentioned at least 10 times. I guess since Syracuse is now in the ACC they are worthy of getting credit for beating Louisville but since we're stuck in the AAC we're just an afterthought.
