I apologize that life is so complicated that you actually have to look at a player to make a rational judgment on him, and can't just rely on what was the conference he went to out of high school and how we've done with other players from said conference.

I have not watched any video of the kid but in a world where the 2nd best player in the country plays in the Ohio Valley Conference, I am in favor of waiting to watch before I pass judgement.

Other than New Haven, Michigan not being founded by migrating Elm City residents, not exactly a new or any kind of harbor (haven = harbor; ode to the Dutch) nor likely to have a relationship with much of anything related to Connecticut, ideally the kid actually means something to some people.

Judging from his numbers and his offers, he can flat out play and would upgrade the current talent level that we have.
Can we stop assuming every player in a conference is of equal ability?
Not every 6'11" grad transfer from the Ivy League is going to be David Onuorah and not every transfer from the A10 is going to be Tarin Smith.
