Yeah this whole April Madness thing is out of control with how it's so dragged out. Why does there need to be a week break every two games?

I think there are many reasons for it. Ticket sales and travel plans among. ESPN probably needs time for coordination, too.

Was it always this way? It takes a full month from the time the conference tournaments end to the last game of the NCAA tournament to play six games. UConn twice this season played 4 games in a week all over the country without much of a problem. I figured someone is making more and more money the longer it drags on.

Really it's only us and the three who've successfully auditioned for the role of "Washington Generals" in this year's iteration of the Final Four affected by the extended playoffs. The others are simply thinking how fortunate we are to be so put upon.

It's been this way for as long as I can remember. I don't disagree with the spirit of your post.

I personally am happy for the week break. Happy for Mo. She sprained her right ankle against MS and her left against Texas. This gives her time to recover. The Husky's will need her healthy.

Perhaps there are other reasons also -- such as attending classes, and getting course work done.
