I can't believe I haven't thought of this before. Those that are around my age or so, and I see you all that the games, have heard of a band named Metallica. Perhaps many have even seen them perform live at some point or other since the early 1980s. This band has been using Ennio Morricone's composition to get arena's fired up all over the globe prior to coming out of their tunnels on stage for 3 decades and counting.
I know, that I personally used to get fired up for O Fortuna, and the players did too. I can't speak for anyone else, but for me really, only because it reminded me of a Metallica concert and a football game at the same time.
Anyway- I make formal motion that when the team takes the field, we as a program, take a page from one of the greatest live rock bands ever, and one of the greatest classical compositions ever, and start dimming the lights, and getting the crowd humming before our guys come out of the tunnel.
Would be cool if it were to happen. We need something for energy. Anything. Something that works. So - if you care to, give a listen and watch. If not - no biggie. I can't wait for tomorrow night.
