That's DeWanna Bonner (Connecticut Sun) trying to block Napheesa Collier's lay up. Bonner NEVER quit on this play. It looks like she got a piece of it. One blocked shot can make the difference in a 1-2 point game at the final horn. How many overtime games was UConn involved in the last 4 years? Stanford won both of their final four games over South Carolina and Arizona by 1 point. If Arizona had made 1 more basket or 2 more free throws, they would have won the national championship. Sometimes a game can come down to ONE PLAY. A play that was made, or one that wasn't.
THIS is the kind of effort we need to see from every UConn player that steps on the floor ALL YEAR. Bonner has been in the league for 11 years, and is still giving maximum effort. Geno has ALWAYS said, they don't teach "effort" at UConn. #Nodaysoff
