I replied “no he didn’t - not in 2006“, knowing that they did not win the national championship that year. He looks at the tall guy, and says “what year was that? 2004?” He looks back at me and says “That’s Ed Nelson!“. We shook hands and visited for a couple minutes, and as we were pulling into my stop, I tried to get a picture, but, wasn’t quick enough with my phone. They were in the area to go to tomorrow’s UConn Legends golf tournament in Greenwich. He had a really great spirit about him, and was very congenial and nice to me. [/QUOTE]
