It wasn't even a particularly stupid or hard foul. He just stepped up to help and the guard jumped into him. If the ref wants to call that there's nothing you can do. So now he's done for the half and if he picks up an early one in the second he'll be lucky to play 20 minutes.

His foul wasn't particularly dumb, but putting a young big man back in the game with 2 fouls at the 12 minute mark was very dumb.

Davidson is going to have to hit more shots if they want to win this game. Dieng picking up his 3rd foul so early is fortunate for them, but just watching the game, you can tell that Louisville is the vastly superior team. The longer they stick around, however, the more confident Davidson will get.

Pitino is an idiot. Absolutely no need to put Dieng back in with 2 fouls when Ville is down 1, with 11+ minutes left in the 1st half. Just stupid, stupid coaching.

Though I will say that Davidson is doing a pretty good job at preventing Siva from driving and dishing.... which is pretty much all Louisville does.
