Watch a game and you won’t really see where the stats come from. Box score at the end of the game has 7-9 guys with double digits amongst other lofty numbers. Somebody said “give Kadary his”. You can’t. Luis, Deivon or Ejiofor can get you badly in the right game. 3-pt shooting has sucked but believe it or not SJU isn’t as bad as it has shown this season. Pitino will attest. We have been poor there though and 3-pt defense has only been decent. Defense is a lot better than it seems on TV overall though. It’s generally stifling for most teams. Athleticism a lot better as well. Even as a SJU fan I can’t believe where we are without seemingly elite offense etc. we are far from unstoppable, yet have been in solid command at most times. That said, we should only have 2 losses the entire season thus far as Baylor was a clock/ref mistake and should be only 4 points from undefeated. Again, SJU doesn’t always pass the eye test. Team is big, fast, extremely deep and Pitino has them playing nasty defense. Looking forward to this week with some better Big East teams. See a bit closer where we stand. [/QUOTE]
