We should really keep an eye on this kid from Simsbury. His dad is a coach and former player. The kid has the potential to develop into a very good D1 player. Mr. Borges may not agree with this little hype :D but I love the character of this kid and his potential. He may end up mid-major or be given a shot with a BCS school if he continues to work hard on his game.

Hopefully he stays at Simsbury but always a chance for a transfer to Northwest Catholic. He is a very under the radar player plus I like Simsbury! :D

"It was a good weekend for Connecticut Select, which saw two teams advance out of pool play and was within a whisker of going three for three. The one team that didn’t make it out has a prospect to watch in E.J. Crawford (6’3″ Fr. SG, Simsbury (CT) High), a lefty who has a good frame and a good body for his age."

He needs to stay at Simsbury, just so he can take part in the Trojan-Beaver games.

Granted, those games happen in the Pac 12 every year too.

Weaver has a great history. Ironic thing is NW plays the Trojans. Love to see Simsbury give them a beat down behind now super Soph. EJ Crawford! As you can see EJ communicating with the website to get information correct on his name. Great kid and a Baller! Would love to see him grow into a UConn recruit 1 day! Good luck EJ Crawford!

Interesting in state kid to follow...Bone-Yard style!

"Some players needed to drive only a couple of miles to get to St. Thomas Seminary, located just down Bloomfield Avenue from where Powell played his college basketball (1984-88). Others came from Waterbury and New Haven. Mike Williams (UMass) was there for the Hartford team; Maurice Williamson (LSU) for New Haven; Darryl Parker (Assumption) for Waterbury; and Mark Mitchell and Eric Crawford for a University of Hartford team.
Crawford was a teammate of Powell's at Hartford.
``Marvin always said it's better to have your children in a gym than out on the streets,'' said Crawford, whose 4-year-old son, E.J., was dribbling a ball on the sideline.
