Did you read the article, it said he is likely to be released. How is that good?

well that answers my question the other day about Jerome's contract being guaranteed. hopefully he get a camp invite and impresses someone and gets a one year deal along the way, hate to see him have to go back to the DLeague again.

Damn NBA is a rough business. Not to be a doubter but he may want to get to Europe and settle for 6 digit income. No shame in that if he is a saver.

Yeah, going to Europe to play BB is something we should pity JD for. The dude plays basketball for a living and probably makes 3x's what we make. enough said.

I would feel sympathy if he (or someone similar) came sooooo close to making it to the NBA and never did (or someone who tore up AAA but never got the last call-up). That can be a bit rough. Jerome made it though and reached that goal, even if it turns out to be briefly. He can always say he was an NBA player without qualification (summer league, preseason, etc.) and if he ends up going elsewhere now to make good money, good for him - he won't need to wonder if he would have made it. Plus, he has his degree.
