I've never sat next to anyone using those pillows, but I don't see why anyone would object.
 
After an hour or several hours, under seat kickers and those who pull on or push off against the row of seats in front can get old. Seated a row in front of dumb oversized pillow user, formerlurker might have some reasons to be agitated each time she adjusted her sleeping position or pressed down on the serving tray. Both would get old, especially if formerlurker or many people were trying to do some work or snooze. In a similar situation, dumb pillow user might end up provoking responses significantly impairing her very own intended snooze.
 
If only the board had a cesspool for this kind of topic.

My only objection was her staring at me for 2.5 hours straight.

Kinda wish I had the guts to use one myself.
