Forty-five years ago (or there about) a friend and I stood beneath a billboard just south of Chino and had our picture taken below the quote "Welcome to Chino the Nut Capital of the World".
When back east we showed it to everyone we knew but only the two of us thought that it was hilarious. We didn't much care though. In Chino (a partying college town) we had just about as much fun as you can have without being arrested. I've never been back but my friend moved out there a year or two later saying he'd return by the following summer and I haven't seen him since. Chino caught him and wouldn't let go.

I would drive through Chino if I was flying out of Ontario Airport. Cant say I saw any nut farms but I smelled the cows and the other smells of dairy farms that are out there.
