Lamb should get a lot of minutes this year with Kevin Martin out of the way, but I'll go with Dre. He's already proven he can play at this level and has one of the best PER's in the league.

Depends on how you define better season... stats? most valuable to their team?

Tough to compare a 2g and a center.

Probably Drummond.

Drummond will break out and establish himself as a future star this year.

It depends on what you consider better. It's very difficult to compare 2 players who are completely different players. I hope they both do well, so I'm not rooting for one to have a better season than the other.

Drummond will be a monster rebounder, shot blocker & will probably average close to 10 ppg, 10 rpg, 3 bpg, while be shown on Sports Center with fancy dunks. I'm not sure Detroit makes the playoffs however.

If Lamb mimics anything Kevin Martin did, I can see somewhere between 7-10 ppg as a scoring option off the bench on a team that will contend for the best record in the West and deep playoff run. All Lamb needs to do is defend solidly and hit open shots consistantly . With a healthy Westbrook and Durant around, he won't get as many touches. Also the team was very impressed with Reggie Jackson at the end of the season, so there's a chance Reggie plays with Westbrook more often too.

Drummond, who knows how much time Lamb will actually be on the roster.

Keep in mind PER isn't everything, actually it's a very overused statistic in general. Fact is though, Drummond played and Lamb didn't. Plus Drummond actually put up great numbers, and he'll put up even better this year. Not saying that Lamb doesn't have potential, he definitely can play. It's just that right now I'd take Andre for sure, plus Lamb's defense still needs some work.

I'd have to agree with the post above ^^^

Also, a guy like Drummond does not come around often, his size, athleticism, speed is uncanny. I'm 90% sure he will become a superstar in that NBA.....

For me, a better question would be Drummond or Walker

Walker still over Drummond.... I think. It's really hard to tell with Andre being so young. Andre has probably shown more potential, but granted young bigs always show potential, it's just a matter of actually reaching that potential. Kemba has already shown flashes of greatness, and he improved so much over the past two years that he will almost definitely be a perennial all-star in the future. Let's just say they're equal and move on :)

Actually an interesting question is this:
Who is the best former Husky in the NBA right now?
My rankings ascending
13. Jeff Adrien - hopefully can stick in league for full season
12. Thabeet - time is running out
11. Lamb - untapped potential, will get opportunity in 13-14 and should rise into top-5 Huskies
10. AJ Price - solid backup guard, not a starter
9. RIP - Might not be in league much longer, injuries
8. CharlieV - Good numbers on bad team guy for entire career now
7. Ben Gordon - after looking good in Chicago particularly vs Celtics one playoffs has become strictly a chucker on bad teams
6. Caron - has bounced around a lot now, considered not worth his contract. I don't get it, he plays D, scores well, only thing I see is rep as 'ball-stopper'
5. Ray Allen - reserve, incredibly valuable but likely 10ppg-ish in 13-14
4. Emeka - had a very good year for lousy team, helping change the culture in DC but considered a solid if not spectacular player these days. I really hope he gets on a good team before career ends as I think he'd find another defensive gear in playoffs.
3. Drummond - Great #s in limited minutes, offensively still raw a defensive force, FT% might keep him out of 4thQs if becomes a starter
2. Kemba Walker - Made a leap but still off the radar because team stinks and MJ is running this franchise idiotically.
1. Rudy Gay - much maligned due to shooting recently, but he's still the top dog. Hopefully his decision to get his VISION FIXED majorly improves his shooting.

I like Lamb and think he'll be a very good player in the NBA, but that's a tough comparison for him. Drummond is going to be a star in the league.
