I think Joe's "Andre the Giant" sucks.

I like "The Kraken."

Showtime, The Natural, Manchild, etc.

They all work and if you say it everyone will know who you are talking about it even if they have never heard it. Except Showtime, that would seem to suit Boatright more than anyone.

yes the kraken is a good one so we can scream

"Release the Kraken!!"
I like that, but it sound funny to just call him the Kraken. Shouting out Release the Kraken if fun.

How about the Punisher?

He's hands down the most ferocious dunker we've ever had at UConn. I'm waiting to see him pull down the entire backboard and stanchion one of these times.

Yancy Gates holds down the "Punisher" moniker.

"Kraken" is actually Dutch for "small, white kid" which is why the nickname is already taken by Kyle Bailey.

Back to the drawing board, I guess.

How about "BE rookie of the week?"

We should be calling him that a lot over the next few months...

What about "Dex"? That's short for Wyndex. If that doesn't work, the only other thing I got is Reginald.

It's too early for him to have a nickname.
And most of the suggestions here suck, especially that gem of Joe D'Ambrosio's.

How about Andre Drummond?
That's MR DRUMMOND! :)

How about the Jack Hammer. Seems some sort of nick name that has to do with pounding something hard since a big part of his game is either hammering the ball hard through the rim or hammering shots back in the direction they came.

Or maybe just The Hammer.

None of this Human Highlight crap or whatever his self declared name was.

I surfing the NET to find out if there was a name for Thor's Hammer. I found the following:

The hammer's name translates as "The Crusher. ... The hammer is created when Thor's adopted brother Loki cuts off the hair of the goddess Sif as part of a cruel ...

How about either Thor or The Crusher?

Napier throw it up and Thor hammers it down! I like it! Probably nobody else does, but I like it.

How about people stop trying to force nicknames on people? Never works that way.

A good nickname just presents itself.
