Atlanta played really well. They were relentless on offense, shot the ball well, and tenacious on defense. Seattle spent too much of the game settling for outside shots from cold shooters, and were too slow to start working the ball inside for higher percentage looks. They only managed 65 points by the middle of the forth. Nice come-back from Seattle late in the forth, though. But then it fell apart again, starting with the time out that Jewel inexplicably called to bring her own fast break to a halt after a nice steal and outlet pass from Sue, with the score tied and 20 seconds left on the clock. The look on Sue's face at that moment was priceless! (She looked somewhat grumpy for most of the night's proceedings, in fact.) From that point on, Seattle, reverted back to earlier form and did not mount any discernable offense at all. The last possession in regulation after the time out was a very ugly shot-clock violation, and they had at least one more of those in overtime. Their lack of focus during important moments and general underperformance for the season to date looks increasingly to me like coaching issues. And yes, the officiating was a disgrace.
