A few people suggested the '09 FF team was the best non-title winning team. Unless my social distancing self is brain farting '09 is the only FF team at UConn to not win it all. So, in terms of accomplishment, they made it further than any other non-title team. I still would take Dream Season team over '09. '09 had an 8 man rotation and that was it. One helluva of a rotation though. The common refrain is "UConn wins it all if Dyson is healthy". '09 had AJ Price at his best with Dyson, Austrie and a freshman Kemba. I'll take Tate, Smith, Gywnn as a draw offensively and defensively '90 could have Burrell or Depriest defend Price or Dyson. Up front '09 has a literal huge advantage with Thabeet, Robinson, Edwards and Adrien. Would love to see Burrell match up with Sticks athletically and Dove use his guile against a physically superior Adrien. Biggest advantage for '90 is the overall suffocating defense at the point and the wings. Price gives it up and Dyson or Austrie can't move the ball against forward against the wings of the DS team. Offensively DS team can't do anything inside against Thabeet. He would own the paint. But Gwynn, George and Smitty had the mid range game to get their shots off. I"m still taking the DS team in this match up.
