That was probably as big a development as there could be for the offseason. Small market teams like the Pelicans need to win the draft to compete, and the Pelicans had the added problem of their superstar having given up on the franchise. A front court of AD, Randle and Zion would be pretty good, and may be enough to keep AD interested in New Orleans. I don't think Zion will be the greatest player in the history of basketball like the hype says, but he should produce immediately and be a solid player developing into an all star with hard work and a little luck.
If this takes AD off the trade block, which it might, then a lot of offseason strategies will be impacted.
