That’s fair - I have a feeling the UMASS game will determine whether we hit the over or not.

I think I'd take over. Wouldn't touch 3.0000000000000000001, but exceeding 2.5 seems doable.

I would expect the bookies to go broke with all the UConn football fans who are sure HCRE2.0 will exceed his 2 wins per season average.

Once sports betting is available in CT, I'm definitely putting some money in the over

No one has seen the team play since the last game of 2019! To be honest none of us really know how this team will fare..
I know they have been putting in the time to get stronger and faster. I am hopeful we see at least 4-5 wins. I think they will need to get the flow going so with Fresno being the first game and playing at 10 at night EST that might not be a win.
Also we need to start having some draftable players emerge. That was Edsalls 1.0 strong point. You might not like him but he’s a good evaluator of those diamond in the rough kids.
In his first stint here he had more go onto the nfl than we’ve had the last 8 years .Kids like to hope they have a chance here at UConn as much as they have a chance anywhere.
Wins will bring better players and better players will bring fans back to see us win! I’m hopeful we see a different team and I am looking forward to see what 2021 brings! Go Huskies!

By the time sports betting is legal here, the line will have moved. How long until CT legalizes sports betting? I will take the over on that as well

IIRC, you won't be able to bet on UConn or other CT Universities as part of the agreement.

So if you want to bet it, take that ride into New Jersey and fire away while you are within state lines.

It’s passing this year. Made it through the house by a very large margin and Governor Lamont has been very supportive so he will sign it.

All indications are that they want sports betting up and running by the time the NFL regular season starts. That is what I saw in the RFP that was sent out to prospective shops/books that want into the state.

Too low. 3.5 is what it should be. And at 2.5 it is a no brainer to go over. They have 2 FCS schools on the schedule, and have 2 years of practice between games essentially with little turnover.

People act like the team that last played in November of 2019 has any relation to the team that will take the field in Sept. of 2021. There is almost no way you can take 2019 stats and model 2021 performance. We literally have no baseline to measure outside of recruiting rankings.

SP+ doesn’t envision great things for UConn:

Yale didn’t play in 2020 either so one has to assume they used 2019 data when they went 9-1?
I don’t know for certain but can only assume that would be correct
