say Louisville doesn't belong and they're happy just to be there

LOL, think he said that about Butler or VCU or Mason or anybody else?

does he really think the Cards are not thinking about beating their arch rival and winning it all? does he think that anybody that knows anything about CBB is not laughing at him for speaking those words.

calling the man stupid is an insult to the stupid people of this world

if he's trying to be controversial, he $ucks at that too. He's nothing but a laughing stock

He probably also forgot that Louisville was a top ten team going into the season, stayed there for awhile, and pretty much stayed in the top 25 the entire season.

It's a Pitino coached team with 3 McDonald AAs on their roster and a fanbase that expects runs in the tourney every year.

Louisville will be more than ready to play UK and play evenly with them.

I hope UL beats UK, but I think it's a bad match-up for them. They want to press and speed up the game, and UK thrives on that. Once UK breaks half-court with numbers on their side, they are very dangerous. They have the size and strength to finish at the rim and have some shooters who can knockdown midrange Js and 3s.

The key to the game IMO is Dieng. If he can get some blocks early in that game and get into the heads' of the UK players when they near the rim where UK settles for more Js than they usually do, that could have an impact on the game. If he gets into any foul trouble, that would likely doom UL.

I rarely put much stock in young teams, but his is not your typical one where one or maybe two freshman can end up shooting you out of the tournament. So far they've played unselfishly, sharing the ball and spreading out the scoring. They also seem to have a greater commitment to play D than most young blue-chip filled teams. I'd hate to see them win it all and make UK even a more attractive program, but I think as long as Cal is there, One&Done U is going to be a program to be reckoned with for a long time. As much as I hate doing so, you have to give the Squid some credit for getting these talented young bucks to check their egos at the door.

As for Gott, he's still an ass.

I hope he brings Lville all the luck he brought us last year. Pick against em Doug.

He is by far the most hated guy in the ESPN offices. I happen to know someone that works on one of the Cowherd shows and she told me some great stories about this tool. He probably really thinks he is superior and more entitled than everyone else.

I'd imagine that a lot of the on-air personalities at ESPN are jerks off the air. Unlike a lot of the others though Gottlieb just happens to show that on the air as well.

Enough about Gottlip. He need to hear himself talk. The match up is Siva vs Teague. If Siva stays in the game I like Ville's chances. After all they are Big East.

Two jerks who I had the pleasure of bumping into
1) Matthew Berry (almost slammed his beer down when I asked him for fantasy football advice...like his efffing job is that difficult where he can't help a kid out when he is off the air)
2) Sean Salisbury (nuph said)

typically i like gottliebs spots on sportscenter when he talks about college bball, minus his bracket this year (i think he had the BE going like 2-7 in the first round). That said listening to his radio show is down right painful.

I would have assumed that about Berry anyway. He comes off as an arrogant in his columns, so it figures he would be the same in person.

That's funny, because in an episode of The League, one of the characters saw him in a bar and asked him for advice, and he was a great guy about it.

It would be really nice if we could just launch jeff jacobs and doug gottlieb into space. They deserve each other and it would be a great public service.

Just. Ignore. Him.

And if he upset you enough to make you come on a forum and try to bash him (once again), he did his job.
