Doug Bruno Nabs Big East COY Honors

CHICAGO - After leading the DePaul women's basketball team to its first ever BIG EAST Conference regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament, Doug Bruno was named the league's Coach of the Year it was announced on Wednesday by the conference office.

Bruno led the Blue Demons to a 24-6 record and his team finished with a 15-3 conference mark. DePaul concluded the regular season by winning 13 of its last 14 games and moved into the national polls in the No. 25 position earlier this week.
